TON, PENTRE

The area today known as Ton Pentre was built up on parts of the farm lands once known as Ton and Tyr Yr Eglwys, and to some extent Maendy. The boundary between the lands of Maendy and Ton was Nant Ian, so whilst Maendy Pit was just in Ton, Ton Police Station and the Junior School were just in Maendy.
